GGUSD Elementary and Intermediate Schools Ranked as America’s Best

Garden Grove Unified School District elementary and intermediate schools earned high rankings among America’s Best K-8 Schools in 2025 issued by U.S. News & World Report today. All GGUSD elementary and intermediate schools were ranked with 38 elementary schools and all ten intermediate schools placing among the top 40% in the state.

Eisenhower Elementary was ranked in the top 40% of California elementary schools.

“GGUSD’s impressive academic outcomes are a result of our hard-working staff who go above and beyond to provide a high quality education that motivates all students to succeed,” said Board of Education Trustee Dina Nguyen.

More than 105,000 elementary and intermediate schools across the nation received a state rank, based on math and reading scores on state assessments from the 2021-2022 school year. California had 5,605 ranked elementary schools and 2,404 ranked middle schools.

In addition to earning high-rankings at the state level, GGUSD schools consistently outperform the Orange County average on state test scores.
