Eisenhower Student Dress Code
The ultimate responsibility for student dress rests with parents. If a child is dressed inappropriately, parents will be notified so that a change of clothing can be brought to school. Student dress and grooming should be clean and should not cause any distraction or disturbance to school activities, nor create a health or safety hazard to themselves or others.
- Clothing with messages promoting drugs, alcohol, gangs, or featuring suggestive sayings or pictures is not permitted.
- Gang-related attire is prohibited.
- Hats may only be worn during recess or PE.
- Stomachs should be covered by clothing.
- Pants must be worn at the waist and fit appropriately.
- Baggy or low hanging pants are not allowed.
- Dangling or hoop-style earrings are not allowed.
- Wear comfortable, safe shoes to school. Open-toed shoes, sandals, high heels, or shoes with wheels are not allowed.
- Hairstyles and colors should be appropriate and conducive to the learning environment.
- Straps on shirts or dresses must be at least 1 inch wide.
- Sweatshirt hoodies may be worn, but hoods must remain down.
