PTO

Dear Parents,

The PTO is an organization of parents that help out when we can by volunteering our time to help work at school events. Participation in the PTO is free and open to all parents interested in supporting the students, families, and staff at Eisenhower Elementary School.  Some of the events we help at are Back to School Night, Open House, the School Carnival or  Movie Night.  We help at these events  by organizing donations, gathering materials, making signs, serving or selling food, selling tickets, or making phone calls to get additional volunteers.  We are a bilingual group and we welcome everyone that wants to help make a difference in their children’s school.

All of the money raised by the events we support helps to pay for the students’ field trips and any materials greatly needed by the school.  For example, the PTO was able to help purchase new drapes for the stage area in the Multi-Purpose Room and send each grade level on a field trip.  We usually meet once per month to plan and prepare for upcoming events or fundraising opportunities.  Your participation is welcome even if you are unable to attend the meetings.

Estimados padres,

El PTO es una organización de padres que ayudan voluntariamente y donan su tiempo en los eventos de la escuela.  La participación en el PTO es voluntaria y para todos los padres que esten interesados en ayudar a los estudiantes, familias, y equipo de la escuela Eisenhower. Algunos de los eventos que ayudamos son Noche de Regreso a Clases, Reunión Informativa para Padres y Estudiantes, el Carnaval de la escuela o Noche de Pelicula. Ayudamos en estos eventos  organizandolos y recaudamos donaciones, ordenamos materiales, hacemos carteles, venta de comida, etc. Somos un grupo bilingüe y les damos la bienvenida a todos los que quieran ayudar.

Todo el dinero recaudado de estos eventos será para pagar excurciónes para los estudiantes y cualquier material que se necesita en la escuela. Por ejemplo, el PTO pagó por las cortinas en el solón multiusos y mandaron a cada grado a una excursión. Normalmente tenemos junta una vez por mes para planear y prepararnos para el evento que viene. Su participación es bienvenida aunque no venga a las juntas.
